This is something that is super trendy right now-- and can cost a pretty penny for some of those woven beauties we have seen out there. But of course-- The cheapies that we are-- wanted a DIY way to keep up with the trends while adding some style to any room. Heck your children could do this project with you it's THAT EASY!
What you need:
A stick from your backyard, neighbors yard, wherever you may find that perfect stick. It has to be as long as you want your "fake" weave
Fabric at least 3 feet long and 1 foot wide {we picked up our tones of pink at Walmart ---very inexpensive} But truly you can use any fabric that speaks to you. Heck you could even use left over lace ribbon! What we love is anything goes pretty much!
Scissors
Twain- or even left over fabric, ribbon, lace- this is what you will use to help hang your stick!
Step by Step:
Make slits in your fabric about 1 inch apart- Tearing them the long way do this with all material {make sure all fabric is close to same length}
Once you have your fabric cut/tore - starting from one end of your stick leaving at least 3 to 4 inches of stick on the end {or more} find the middle of the fabric and tie once pulling it tightly against the branch. Continue to do this with remaining fabric.
Then we grabbed our twain and tied it to one end of the branch to the other end- leaving some slack- as this will be what you hang it from.
We then hung it on the wall and grabbed our scissors cutting in an arrow shape giving it more of a visual appeal.
Now stand back and admire your $5.00 Wall hang! Thanks for hanging out with us! Until next time....
