So I got this chair at a thrift store for $15, which was kind of steep for me considering I knew I probably had to put a lot of time into it. The seat was a bit dirty and I didn't like the color of the wood so I knew I had to paint it.
I contemplated painting the fabric {with fabric paint}, possibly trying to clean it, or reupholster it. I went through my fabric {which is a lot my friends} and came across this flour sack I have been saving for a perfect project! I got it at a garage sale last summer for $1! And I decided I was going to reupholster it with the flour sack.
I painted the wood with some left over paint I had from my daughters bedroom. I used some left over beige fabric for the seat recovering. I got piping {for around the chair and fabric} from hobby lobby a while back and luckily it matched the fabric perfectly! I love the results! And the chair only cost me $16 in the end!
