Holy Hannah......so sorry for the absence here; but by golly we have been busy....wish there was 10 of us to get everything done that we want to! It's been a couple hectic weeks- prepping for a sale, attending conferences {one was a road trip to Utah to the SNAP conference}- which I can't wait to share more about.....BUT we were so excited to share with you our curbside finds for 2015 ---that will have to wait!
I wish I could add music to this post because it would be nothing but drum rolls as we introduce to you the new pieces we saved from heading to the landfill! I think that is our favorite part about this whole experience is knowing that we are giving it another life. Another chance to be new again without sitting and rotting away in our already overflowing landfill! The part that it's FREE also helps; but a huge factor is that it's really cool stuff- like do a happy dance cool! There may have been a couple screams let out loud as we would drive up to a pile.
My phone rings off the hook during this week---I especially love the phone calls when my sister would demand back up...."back up, we need back up here" With these kind of calls there would be no time to change out of the jammies as it's sometimes a fierce junking world out there! That or the garbage trucks would be closely behind and there is no way we were going to let that happen!
I do need to give my sister mad props this year as she was the one who deserves all the credit! She put in some hours and miles scoping curbside to curbside and boy oh boy did it pay off! She saved some beauties.....
We will have created a new story for these pieces.....a curbside find now loved. In this case another man's junk is definitely another man's treasure!
We joke every year that our divorce rate goes up about 90% during this week and there is very little husband eye contact- as our hubby's are lucky if their lawn mower fits back in the garage. But friends- that to a Junker is a good good sign- it means-2015 throw out week- you have been good to us! Until next year friends...we will see you on the curbside!
